The OBSERV® 520 + AIS
Welcome to the world of OBSERV skin diagnostic tool– an outstanding skin analysis tool to transform your skin analysis consultations in a phenomenal manner.
This powerful skin analysis tool allows you to analyse, diagnose and monitor the clients skin in greater detail and to visually communicate on treatment plan and progress. The Advanced Imaging System [A.I.S.] is an add on system specifically designed for the OBSERV 520 advanced skin analysis device to capture perfectly aligned before and after client clinical visuals from multiple angles. The Note Pad, feature within the A.I.S, allows you to physically draw with a colour coded marker to highlight all of each clients’ present skin concerns and conditions. This skin analysis device also supports you in documenting treatment progress and outcomes in clinic.
How it works
The OBSERV works in a similar way to the old "woods lamps and "skin scanners" but with much more technology and accuracy. The use of modern precision LED's and multiple filtration systems allow far more clarity and accuracy, resulting in an unparalleled view of the skin-above and below.
The OBSERV provides much clearer, more detailed images than conventional fluorescent tube UV devices because there is minimal light energy in the parts of the spectrum that create the fuzziness normally associated with fluorescent tubes.
The precision, narrow band LED polychromatic light sources have an extremely long life span, so there are no lamps to replace-EVER! The Daylight, simulated woods lamp and “True UV” illumination modes have digitally adjustable intensity, making the OBSERV far safer than conventional BLB UV light sources.
Along with software assisted "enhanced" filters that include cross and parallel polarized imaging, the OBSERV provides unparalleled detail of the skins surface and anomalies.

What is the AIS?
The Advanced Imaging System (AIS) is an OBSERV® 520 specific add-on upgrade providing additional functionalities. It consists of both hardware and software components. The AIS set consists of a newly designed ergonomic and rotative chinrest, a set of lateral mirrors and access to exclusive app features. The AIS exclusive app features will enable you to broaden your treatment range with the multi-angle views and monitor treatment progress that were previously difficult to capture with a frontal view only. The exclusive app features will bring your consultation to the next level! Find out more about AIS here.
6 Modes of Operation
The 6 different light sources/filters of the OBSERV provide vital information about the overall health of your client's skin, including potential desquamation issues, microbiome health, vascular and pigmented abnormalities, and more. You can also "look forward" to predict future potential issues.
Daylight
“Clinical Evalution” The skin as seen in an controlled natural daylight environment.Parallel Polarized
“Show the surface texture”An enhanced view of the skin’s surface; fine lines, microrelief, wrinkles, texture and pores.
Cross Polarized
“Look into the skin”With the skin’s surface shine suppressed, obtain an unobstructed view of dermal structures, vascular conditions, inflamations , pigmentations.
Woods Lamp (Simulated)
“A modernized classic”This light, dermatologists and skin therapist are familair with. By adjusting the spectrum the distribution of skin secretions is revealed in colour.
True UV
“Fluorescence skin analysis”Skin abnormalities on the skin’s surface or in deeper skin layers’s create distinguisable fluorescence patterns and stand out from surrounding healthy skin.
Complexion analysis
“Irregularities revealed”The complexion analysis reveals transformations in skin tone, pigmentation irregularities and vascular irritations. A homegenous complexion is the fundament of beauty.
