To position a client into the OBSERV using the OBSERV stand
1. Remove the light shade and ask your client to place their chin on the chin rest making sure the chin arm is in the centred position. This is to determine how high to position the stand, adjust the stand according to your client’s height, using the button on the side on the stand.
Make sure your client is standing with a straight back and their chin is comfortable facing forward. Ask your client to place their hands on the pole of the stand to balance or secure themselves.
2. Explain to your client how to use the chin rest, instructing them to start with facing forward looking into the mirror using the face positioning system. (The small 3 lines need to line up together to ensure the chin is placed correctly, then once the front photos are taken, you will then tap their right shoulder, to indicate the client to pop their hand into the lightshade and roll the chin arm right and twist the chin cup right once.
Take the right sided photos, then tap on your clients left shoulder and repeat the same steps rolling the chin arm across to the left-hand side and twisting the cup 2 x to the left and take the left sided photos.
3. Attach the light shade and ask the client to then place their head through the lightshade, closing the fabric properly via magnets under the chin. Ask client to place their chin on the chin rest and looking forward into the mirror, make sure the chin rest is facing central, then proceed to take photos as instructed above.
4. Once this is all lined up correctly, ask your client to pop their head out, and then attach the magnetic light shade to the OBSERV and ask you client to pop their head back in and attach the two bottom magnets together under their chin to block out light and then ask your client to place their hands on the pole of the stand to ground themselves, then proceed to capture their photos.
